As a Community Connector at Building Impact, Christine develops relationships with building tenants to facilitate community involvement with local non-profits. Before joining Building Impact in 2010, Christine worked as an AmeriCorps* VISTA at AIDS Action, formerly Cambridge Cares About AIDS, where she coordinated all agency-wide volunteers and events. Christine served on the National Board of Directors for COLAGE, a non-profit dedicated to empowering youth and adults with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender parents for five years, and has been active in the queerspawn community for over ten years. Christine’s interest in the non-profit sector and travel brought her to India, where she studied local Rajasthani NGOs and examined the role that non-profits have in ending systemic oppression around the world. Christine earned her B.A. from Middlebury College in Sociology and Gender Studies.

As Program Director, Alison is responsible for the development and implementation of Building Impact’s ongoing programming and delivery work. She also continues to be a Community Connector: developing relationships with building tenants, managing program delivery in commercial and residential properties, and strengthening our volunteer base. While pursuing her degree in International Relations at Boston University, Alison studied cities and community development in Niger, Argentina, China and New Zealand. Before joining Building Impact, Alison worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer at the MATCH School, a high performing Charter Public High School in Boston that prepares inner-city kids for college success.

Ms. Streat brings to her role 20 years of experience in leading large and small teams with P&L responsibility, growing businesses, and developing growth strategies and execution plans. Ms. Streat has further worked on non-profit boards, building strong relationships with members of the business community. Most recently, she was Senior Vice President for Bank of America (BofA), with responsibility for improving the customer experience for BofA’s Investment Securities online brokerage business and its 50 million customers. Prior to this role, Ms. Streat led the BofA team that developed the strategy and implemented plans that drove enterprise-wide programs designed to ensure sustained employee engagement, create one culture across multiple departments, and increase customer loyalty and overall revenue. In an early leadership role, she had the responsibility and accountability for successfully led sales, service, and operations for 45 BofA branches in the Rhode Island market. Ms. Streat holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA from the Simmons School of Management and was recently elected President-Elect of its Alumni Association effective in January 2012. Ms. Streat has been married to Le’Roy Streat for 18 years. They live in Milton, Massachusetts with their 2 sons, Laroy and Christopher.

Amanda came to Building Impact from State Street Corporation where she worked for 7 years in Global Services and Human Resources. Her experience at State Street allowed Amanda to develop her passion and expertise in leveraging volunteer opportunities for employee personal and professional development. Amanda has volunteered for a variety of organizations, and participated in two skill- based volunteer projects with Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance and Centro Latino. Most recently she volunteers her time at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). Amanda is an avid runner, so far completing 5 marathons, 4 as a charity runner raising a combined 9k for various causes. Amanda also enjoys cooking, cross country and downhill skiing, exploring new places, and spending time with her husband, friends and sweet Black Lab Harlow who she and her husband rescued from a shelter in Tennessee. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a concentration in Cultural Politics from Bates College and a Masters in Human Resource Education from Boston University.

James is happy to be back in the Boston area after going to graduate school at nearby Brandeis University. James studied Sustainable International Development and earned his B.A. from the University of Kansas in Sociology and Communication Studies. Before joining the Building Impact team, James did a year of service through AmeriCorps NCCC where he worked on a number of volunteer projects in California, Alabama, Louisiana and Arizona. After his service year, James spent a year between working on fire crews in Arizona and Florida. As a Community Connector at Building Impact, James helps develop relationships with BI’s building tenants to facilitate community involvement with local non-profits.

Paulette Stout brings her strong background in advertising and marketing to Building Impact as its Development and Marketing Director. Most recently, Paulette worked at the United Teen Equality Center in Lowell, MA where she raised over $1.2 million in under two years for the at-risk youth agency. Before relocating to the Boston area in 2006, Paulette worked for Verizon Wireless where she directed the $40 million dollar advertising budget for the Youth and Hispanic segments. Prior to Verizon Wireless, Paulette worked as a Media Manager at AT&T Consumer where she managed an $80 million dollar budget spread across four advertising agencies. While in New York, Paulette honed her media buying and planning skills at Media Buying Services (now Carat) and Saatchi & Saatchi, before landing at SG&W as the Media Director. Her 18 years of experience in advertising includes national and local television, radio, print, home, and online. Her work garnered her recognition several times, and she was named a MediaWeek All-Star for her innovative and results-producing work for Delta Airlines, and was twice awarded the MediaWeek Media Plan of the Year Award. Paulette's spirit and determination were formally recognized several times while at Saatchi & Saatchi where she won the agency's Nothing is Impossible Award as well as twice winning the Walter Teitz Creative Media Award. Paulette earned her MBA in Marketing at Pace University and her BS in Communications at Cornell University.
