Connect: Be a Child Advocate

Learn how to become a decision-maker for a child who has no parent or guardian acting on their behalf. The Special Education Surrogate Parent Program recruits, trains and appoints volunteers to advocate for children in the custody of the Department of Children & Families. You can volunteer in almost any community in Massachusetts. Sign up below for more information or to find a training in a community near you.

I am interested in this volunteer opportunity but may not be able to attend the event in Newburyport on May 20. I will be traveling from May 22 through June 19. Will there be another event planned in the Greater Boston area? My home address is:
