On Thursday January 14th, Building Impact officially launched R.E.Action 2010 with the 1st Annual Kickoff Reception at ADD Inc's beautiful rooftop space in Boston's Seaport District. Many thanks to those individuals and companies who joined us to celebrate!
Dozens of sponsoring companies and prospective sponsor companies came together to ramp up for R.E.Action 2010's program of community involvement. Attendees learned more about Building Impact, R.E.Action, and how to become involved in this ground-breaking industry-wide year of community service. Uplifting and incredible energy filled the room - now let's capitalize on that energy to make a difference this year! Some pictures from the event are below.
We also raised $705 for Partners in Health and their Haiti relief efforts. Partners in Health is a Boston-based international aid organization with an established presence in Haiti. Given that their sites are primarily in rural areas, their infrastructure was relatively undamaged and thus they "probably became the largest health care provider still standing in all of Haiti". We are honored that the R.E.Action community opened their wallets to this cause, and encourage others to take action. For ideas on how you or your company can help the relief efforts in Haiti, see our blog post.

Over 120 people representing dozens of companies came to listen about how R.E.Action 2010 challenges the real estate industry to strengthen the community through a year of community service activities.
