Run with Goodwill’s charity Marathon team, Running for Great Kids, in the Boston Marathon. Goodwill’s Running for Great Kids team supports 600+ youth from underserved communities who participate in their After School Academy for Girls and Fresh Air Camp. Runners have an opportunity to participate in this historic race and raise money for a great cause! Morgan Memorial Goodwill has a limited number of marathon numbers and would love to have you join their team!

Volunteer: Garden at a Community Farm
Plant, mulch, weed, and garden at Waltham Fields Community Farm, a community farm distributing produce to local people in need. Ages 14 and up welcome. Directions.
Volunteer: Paint a Group Home
Scrape and paint the outside trim of a Lifelinks group home. Lifelinks provides services for people with developmental disabilities 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Note: This is a two-day project, you can come out either on Thursday evening, June 16th, or Saturday morning, June 18th. When you sign up, please let us know which day you would like to attend.
Walk for Lowell General Hospital
Join more than 5,000 walkers to make a difference in the fight against cancer. TeamWalk enables Lowell General Hospital to continue with its efforts to instill hope to patients with cancer.
Volunteer: Garden for Good
Help prepare local school gardens for Spring by pulling weeds, turning over soil and other gardening activities with CitySprouts. This is a great kid-friendly activity that is a learning experience for volunteers as well as the teachers and students who use the gardens.
Charles River Clean Up: Newton to Bellingham
Six convervancy organizations have teamed up to organize sites along the Charles River from Boston to Concord where volunteers can pick up trash and get the river ready for spring! Wherever is easiest for you and your family to volunteer, Building Impact can help you find a site. This event is open to all ages, and everyone who volunteers gets a free T shirt!

Charles River Clean Up: Cambridge
Join Building Impact and the Charles River Conservancy to clean up an area of the river near Harvard Square in Cambridge. To celebrate Earth Day, volunteers will cover the banks of the Charles River to pick up trash and get those green areas ready for spring! Everyone who comes out will get a free T-shirt, and kids of all ages are welcome.
